About the event
The Creative Praxis team is excited to announce our next big training! We are hosting a train-the-trainer for educators, facilitators, and community organizers interested in building their facilitation skills. This art-centered, participatory training will walk participants through the Creative Praxis pedagogy, which is based on 6 humanistic principles: liberation education, trauma-informed, restorative practices, ethos, art infusion, and community building.
From Friday, March 13 to Sunday, March 15th, participants will:
· Gain new tools for facilitation using the Creative Praxis framework
· Gain a greater understanding of themselves as facilitators
· Gain tools for engaging youth/community
· Learn first-hand how to set up learning spaces that are energetic and trauma-informed
This train-the-trainer experience will be active and immersive: participants are given intentional time to practice their skills in the space and reflect on their experience. This is a training for practitioners of all levels of skill and experience.
Participants may attend as individuals or may be supported by their workplace to participate for professional development credit. All participants will receive a certificate upon completion. We are happy to work with you to satisfy documentation requirements for professional development. The 3-day training costs $400 and includes dinner on Friday night, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, an interactive workbook, and all necessary materials. We are currently offering an early bird special for $350 for those who register by Friday, March 6 (type in Early Bird for coupon code).
